In August 1955, employees of the
Billings School District united
for a common purpose: to
establish a cooperative
financial institution that was
owned by and operated in the
best interest of its members.
Over the years, Summit Credit
Union has expanded its field of
membership to residents of
Yellowstone, Carbon,
Musselshell, Stillwater,
Rosebud, Sweet Grass, Big Horn and
Treasure counties in Montana.
Member ownership and the
democratic, cooperative
principles are what make credit
unions unique in the financial
industry.
